Oven French Fries and NO Link up

Sorry ladies no link up. The link up will be returning in 2-3 weeks.

I do however have a great recipe for the best oven fries I have ever had. So, these are not the crispy, crunchy fries that you would get at McD’s, they are the crisp full of great flavor kind. I found these on one of my favorites Taste of Home.

First cut your fries into strips as thick or thin as you like.

In a large bowl, combine the cornstarch, water and soy sauce until smooth. Add potatoes; cover and refrigerate for 1 hour.

Drain potatoes and pat dry on paper towels. Toss potatoes with oil and sprinkle with salt. Place on a baking sheet coated with cooking spray. Then bake at 375° for 15-20 minutes on each side or until tender and golden brown.

Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 2 cups water
  • 1 tablespoon reduced-sodium soy sauce
  • 2 medium potatoes, peeled and cut into strips
  • 2 teaspoons olive oil
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt

Directions

  • In a large bowl, combine the cornstarch, water and soy sauce until smooth. Add potatoes; cover and refrigerate for 1 hour.
  • Drain potatoes and pat dry on paper towels. Toss potatoes with oil and sprinkle with salt. Place on a baking sheet coated with cooking spray.
  • Bake at 375° for 15-20 minutes on each side or until tender and golden brown. Yield: 2 servings.
I, of course triple the batch for our family
So sorry no picture of the final product, they disappeared to fast. You will have to make some to see what they look like. I warn you they will disappear fast take a quick look before they are gone.
